Hello, this is one of the blades i forged recently, it's actually made out of reclaimed steel, a leaf spring of a horse carriage of the 19th century
Few year ago i got my hands on a pair of leaf springs of said carriage and performed extensive tests to determine the best heat treatment for that steel.
This blade saw different stages and changes...sometimes i chase a line till i can see how the final outcome will look, and this one just kept evading my final idea.
Usually put a blade aside for a few days and get back to it, and then... grind this and that...Stabby came to fruition.
specs:
total length: 32 cm blade/edge length: 18 cm
handle is made out of cocobolo
pattern welded guard
museum fit
handmade leather sheath (can be modified to user's needs)
Doesn't look heavy but it's actually pretty thick, gives off a nice feeling of sturdiness and it's also really sharp due to the full flat to convex grind!
if you have any questions, doubts or what to just chat about it feel free to comment bellow or send me a mail thru the website...just mention stabby ;)
cheers
Elvis
